quick question

I've been lurking around the forum for a while but I have a question to ask. I'm trying to find a legit seller for r4 cards for my nintendo. I'm from germany and I found one site that looks promising <a href="http://www.r4karte.de/" rel="nofollow">r4 revolution for dsi</a>

Ok is, January 20st, I'm in Mar del Plata.... I'm really bored (is bored? aburrido?) beetwen the baby crying, the little 3 yo girl at my side looking at the pc like a keyboarded TV makes it hard to play XD (will say nothing about our bargirl, she is pretty nice).

Yeah Yeah, i'm spending the last hours of my time here using a pc, but well, I'm gonna write a lot about this, and i think is possible to do a grapchis adventure about a couple of tourists in a crappy hotel, in the middle of a ... a... crappy touristic city, i have to start with the script of the story, and i have photos to illustrate.

Isxek,

You are right about the fact that you don't have much control over the situation, but in order for the "state of mind" to affect the gameplay, I had to take some direct control away from the player.

However, most IF games suffer from the same problem of combinatorial branches. Your actions are severely limited by what the "director" intended.

All in all, I agree that more options would have been important. As well as a dozen other ideas that came AFTER the deadline :)

In any case, I've discovered that there is a wide gap between people who read the original story and those who haven't (almost nobody in the US read Cortazar). Properly transmitting the spirit of the original story is beyond the effort I was able to spend on the game...

Thanks for trying the game!

I'm not going to say it's a "piece of shit," but I have to agree it does need more work.

To me, alternating between struggling to get out of the wool sweater and relaxing to ponder on the situation is crazy. I also feel I could've done better if I were given the option to SIT on the couch so I can struggle all I want without having to bump into my cigarette.

I seem to be alone in the room, anyway. Can't I just remove the shirt and the sweater all together?

And if I were completely losing control of myself, that's not going to be the first thing that will pop in my head. It feels too much like you're getting prompted in your actions by a director, when technically you should know the script by heart.

That's my 2 cents. Thanks for creating the game.

Well, I did a test run to you game, which is cool. I had the odd feeling of reading that 'Elige tu propia aventura' books (sorry, don't know how this books are known in English). and after playing it for a while I had the feeling of playing nethack (would i die if i kick this wall?). The story is kinda fun to and being at the brink of despair is nice. Perhaps with more choices it would be a more enjoyable experience (but time is a bitch). And don't take the commentary of nethack to seriously, I also had the feeling of playing Princess Maker while playing Hunter RPG.

Thanks for playing guys! :)

I'm still expecting someone to say that it's a piece of shit. I know you're out there. Please include reasons.

A nice game, well put toghether.

As I said in the ADVA (or was it JuegosAr?) mailing list, it differs a lot from what I'd come to expect from a classic IF, but it's a great idea, inspired in a great story. Kudos to you Daniel :)

Excelente!!! Realmente me sorprendió mucho, y me pareció muy interesante la referencia al cuento de Cortázar (también uno de mis favoritos). Muy, muy bueno! Felicitaciones y felicidades, todo junto!

Well my friend, congratulations once again on a job well done! I really liked this game, and more so since I love No Se Culpe a Nadie, it's my favorite by Cortázar.

Have a happy holiday!
